What we collect from users of the site and API, and how we handle it.

Placeholder to be reviewed with counsel before launch.
When you create an account we store your email, organization name, hashed credentials, API keys, plan, and usage metrics. Our payment processor (Stripe) handles card data; we never see or store full card numbers. We keep basic server logs for security and rate limiting.
Our editorial content concerns vessels and, where relevant, the public figures associated with them, drawn entirely from public AIS broadcasts and open records and published as journalism in the public interest. We do not publish information designed to enable real-time physical location of a specific individual.
To provide and secure the Services, bill for the API, prevent abuse, and communicate service updates. We do not use your account data to train models or sell it to third parties.
We share data only with processors that run the Services (hosting, database, payments, email) under contract, or where required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account data. Email privacy@celebyachts.com.
We keep account data while your account is active and as needed for legal and billing purposes, then delete or anonymize it. We use encryption in transit and reasonable safeguards at rest.
